His legacy is left behind with his 3 wonderful sons that he loved deeply, Kalin, Travis, & Tyler. His legacy will also be remembered by mom Sharon, sisters Shae, Debbie, & Karen, niece Kayse, and the countless people he had the pleasure of calling family & friends.

An Ode to Gettin’ O’d

I once lived a life, in my youth, that was Fun!

I’d walk endlessly & on stairs I would Run!

I was seen as a asset in all my careers.

Made countless good friends as I’ve lived my years.

My view in life (& it hasn’t changed much)

Is be kind to others, and with friends, Stay in Touch!

God, as I know him, shows me he cares,

He never left me alone with despair.

Now as I get older, I have to admit

It’s much tougher we now to keep physically fit.

I’ve given up cigarettes, and should quit all drinking

But a life without beer? That’s wishful thinking!

I lost so many people that I truly loved,

I pray that I’ll see them, again, up above.

My faith in God has kept me quite Cool

From making bad choices & acting a Fool!

So thankfully as I, at night, look at the stars,

And never been been one to be kept behind bars.

Not saying I’m perfect, I’ve been to Jail!

Best lessons in life, are learned when you Fail!

If you’re faced with sentence, don’t go in there Slangin’!

Hard timin’ attitudes vanish with Singin’!

Always be positive, speak from  your heart!

Show respect to all Doctors as you fall apart!

Caregivers know why you are afflicted,

With health issues that stem from a life lived addicted.

Appreciate life, be strong, and be bold,

Share the love in your heart,

Because it sucks getting old…
