Cheryl Kay (Page) Stout

August 15, 1951 – February 11, 2025

Cheryl Kay Stout, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2025, at the age of 73.

Born on August 15, 1951, in Munich, West Germany, to Larry and Cora Page, Cheryl grew up in a military family, which allowed her to experience life across the world. She spent a portion of her early childhood in France, where she became fluent in French, a skill she cherished throughout her life. She also lived in Japan before eventually settling in the United States. Cheryl’s family lived in New Mexico and Texas before making Huntington Beach, California, their home.

In November 1971, Cheryl married her sweetheart, Ronald Stout, in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Together, they built a beautiful family that became the center of Cheryl’s world. She loved her family fiercely, and they loved her deeply. A great source of Cheryl’s joy came from watching her children and grandchildren grow and thrive.

Cheryl was a woman of creativity, warmth, and love. She deeply enjoyed music, sewing, crafting, reading, crossword puzzles, and baking. Her handmade gifts delighted those who received them, and her talent for transforming forgotten items into treasures brought beauty and joy to those around her. She also had a keen eye for decorating and loved creating welcoming spaces.

Her optimistic spirit and positive outlook on life touched everyone she met. Cheryl found great fulfillment in serving others, particularly through her membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where she held various roles of service. For over 20 years, Cheryl worked as a legal secretary, forming lasting relationships and experiencing personal growth through her work.

Cheryl’s family will forever cherish the memories they created together—baking holiday treats to share with friends and neighbors, enjoying family car rides in station wagons and minivans, and listening to her animated readings of favorite stories, especially Stubby Pringle’s Christmas. She will be remembered whenever Jeopardy! or Wheel of Fortune is on TV, while playing word games, or when listening to music from the 1950s and 1960s.

Her unwavering faith, loving heart, bright eyes, enthusiastic voice, and cheerful presence will be deeply missed. Cheryl loved to sincerely and freely notice the people around her and complimented them unabashedly. In her honor, take an opportunity to find something to verbally encourage those you love, and strangers you meet through the day. Cheryl’s memory will continue to bring smiles to all who knew her. Our lives were better because she was in them, and her love will remain with us always.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ron; her children Tyler (Maria) Stout, Jenna (Travis) Loss, Lorna (Brad) Andrews, and Adam (Elizabeth) Stout; and her cherished grandchildren Brennan (23), Jenavieve (22), Kaia (21), Madison (19), Elise (18), Holden (12), Ephraim (12), Lehi (9), and Ryder (5). Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents, Larry and Cora Page, and is also survived by her siblings, Susan (Jim) Churcich and Mike (Betty) Page.

We will be having a celebration of life for Cheryl on Saturday, April 12 in Moreno Valley. Please contact the family for more details and to join us ♥.
