CHRISTOPHER LYNN MURRAY
April 5th, 1946 - September 11th, 2024
After a lifetime as a son, father, grandfather and great grandfather, on September 11, 2024, the heavens received one of Ohio’s favorite sons, Christopher Lynn Murray.
Chris, age seventy eight, was born on the front edge of the Baby Boom generation on April 5, 1946, to parents John and Janet Murray. After graduation from Colonel White High School in Dayton, he served in the U.S. Navy-a stint in Long Beach would foreshadow his eventual relocation to southern California two decades later.
Known by his many friends as easy going and a great listener, in 1978 Chris met Diane Noble and began a relationship that would stretch over five decades. Their marriage in 1981 and subsequent job opportunities would take them and daughters Dawn and Natalie to California in 1984. They settled in the fast-growing Southwest Riverside County area and still retained a residence there in Temecula.
As a professional, Chris would ply those exceptional listening skills and achieve top sales status at each position he worked throughout his more than fifty-year sales career. With travel awards and bonuses Chris and Diane would vacation across the U.S., Hawaii, and Alaska on adventures with family and friends.
Born into an athletic family, Chris enjoyed the outdoors, including boating, fishing, tennis, golf-and floating in his backyard pool in Temecula. He and his brother Lee would spend many hours on guided fishing trips, sometimes in remote locations accessible only by plane. His spirit of adventure and joy of life was contagious, and his presence will be forever missed by those still bound to this mortal coil.
Chris is predeceased by his father John Murray, mother Janet Murray, and daughter Natalie Montesano. He is survived by wife Diane Murray, brother Lee Murray, sister-in-law Stephanie Murray, daughter Dawn Murray-Sibby, son-in-law Ed Sibby, grandchildren Katelyn Mizokawa, Jeffrey Mizokawa, Julian Sibby, Jade Sibby, and Justice Murray-Sibby, and great grandchildren Mei Mizokawa and Rai Mizokawa.
A celebration of life will be held in the coming weeks.

Chris was my mentor and one of me closest friends, as I started my sales career. Chris took me under his wing and taught me how to take care of customers which would result in many rewards in sales. Chris and I would meet regularly in Dayton, as we shared that territory. We talked daily about our customers and how we could serve their needs. We would spend hours sharing our lives and the goals we had for the future. Chris meant the world to me and even when he left for San Diego we stayed close. Chris helped me to build the foundation for my future success and I will aways cherish the time we spent together. I stayed in sales my entire career and I loved Chris like a brother. Without Chris my life would be much different. Love you buddy with all my heart.

Chris was a great husband, father & friend. I had the privilege to meet him and Diane Shortly after they moved to Henderson Nevada. He had put a picture of their Stella online asking for a dog sitter. I replied back to him while Diane was still in Temecula. He set up an interview with me and was very thorough. Making sure that Stella would be safe. He brought Stella over to the house to see how she would react with my dog. It all went great and after talking with Diane they decided to trust me with that baby of theirs. It didn’t take long before we all felt like family. They/we will always be family – we didn’t live that far apart while they were in Ohio, but it took Nevada for us to meet. I had the privilege of watching Stella many many times when they made their yearly trips to their aunts house I believe it was Oklahoma on their aunt/mom’s birthday, And their big Hawaii trip, which I’m so thankful they could make all those memories. Both Diane and Chris And Stella will always have a special place in my heart. Chris: you will be greatly missed 🤗❤️

Some of my fondest memories growing up was spending time with uncle Chris by the pool and bbq’n or making tacos. He was always generous, caring and became a role model for me to aspire to.

I had the good fortune and privilege to know Chris for the past 39 years! He was more than a friend as we shared everything with each other more like brothers. While sorrowful for his lost I am happy that he has gone to a better place and is with those who passed before him. May God give comfort and peace to anymore who is grieving his loss at this time🙏! Rest in peace my dear friend🌞!
