GERALD L. KONKLE

Gerald L. Konkle, 92, of Menifee, California, passed away peacefully on August 19, 2024. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Gerald lived a life marked by kindness, love, and dedication. A proud veteran of the United States Army, he served his country during the Korean War, exemplifying the courage and resilience that would define his life.

After his service, Gerald moved to Virginia where he met and married the love of his life, Doris Allison Konkle. He began a long career in telecommunications at AT&T. Together, they built a beautiful family, raising their son, Tom Konkle, who carries on his father’s dedication to the family. Gerald welcomed his daughter-in-law, Noreen Konkle, into the family with warmth and love, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandson, Sean Konkle.

Gerald had a simple joy that brought light to those around him—his love of donuts was legendary among his family and friends, a sweet reminder of his approach to life: finding pleasure in the small, everyday moments.

His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will live on through the memories and stories shared by his loved ones. Gerald’s life was a testament to the power of love, service, and family, and he will be deeply missed.
