GERALD WAYNE WILSON

Gerald Wayne Wilson, known to all as Jerry, passed away at home on February 22, 2024, at the age of 79. He was born on March 12, 1944 in Benton County, Indiana and grew up in Benton County and Rolling Prairie. He graduated from Rolling Prairie High School in 1962. Jerry moved his family to California in the early 70’s and raised his family in Westminster and Orange, CA. He moved to Menifee, CA after retirement to be closer to his children.

Jerry is survived by his son Matt Wilson and his wife Wendy Wilson, his son Ted Wilson, his grandchildren Janae and her husband Louis, Jordan, Julia, James, Jayden, Tyler, Joshua, and Kaylee, his great grandchildren Zoey and Ellie, his sisters Cheryl Pilkinton, Connie Mahan, and Sherry Ballard, along with many cousins, extended family, and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Dale Wilson and Fern Wilcox, and his beloved daughter Susan Wilson.

Jerry retired from the Southern California Gas Company after working there for more than 30 years to enjoy more time with his family. Jerry enjoyed playing golf and watching westerns but loved being with his family most of all.

Never was there a better father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, or friend. He will be dearly missed here on earth, but we know he is enjoying heaven now.
