MARGARET FUNK

Margaret (Wagner) Funk, age 75, of Riverside, California, passed away on July 29, 2025.

Margaret was born on November 7, 1949, in California to the parents of William Joseph and Winifred Theresa (Ennis) Wagner. Margaret is preceded in death by her loving husband, Larry Stephen Funk; son-in-law, Percival Juan Dalilis; sister, Mary Berlin; and brothers Joseph, Mark, and George Wagner. She is survived by her son Matthew Funk (Dawn); her daughter Amy Dalilis; her granddaughter Kaitlyn Funk; grandsons Stephen Funk, Joseph Dalilis, Anthony Dalilis; her sister Pat Neuman (Bob); her brother John Wagner; and many nieces, nephews, and in laws.

Margaret grew up in Riverside with her six brothers and sisters and attended St. Thomas Elementary and St. Francis D. Sales. She then received her B.S. from Riverside Community College. While her children were growing up, she worked as a teacher’s aide for Alvord Unified School District. Later, she became a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) worker but retired so she could care for her grandchildren. She loved children and was always volunteering to work with kids and babysit her grandkids. She was an avid reader and enjoyed working on crafts. She was very funny and will be remembered for her warm, kind spirit.

Peggy was my casa worker but she was so much more then that to me she was my best friend I could tell her any thing and do anything and she still showed me love she never gave up on me and taught me so much in my life ! She always could make me laugh and I will miss that my life was forever change for the better cause of Peggy when I had no one no family she was there
